Flash Forest will begin the project also in Hawaii in 2020, following the planting near Toronto and in British Colombia, Canada, and plans to plant 300,000 trees. In addition to Canada, the company plans to plant trees in Australia, Colombia, and Malaysia, with an ambitious goal of planting 1 billion trees by 2028.
