Sustainability store opened in the UK
Recently, the number of stores selling by weight is gradually increasing. If you bring your own container, you can purchase only the required amount, and the advantage is that there is no waste such as plastic packaging. Most of the stores sold by weight were small stores, but from late October, Asda, a major British chain supermarket, opend a trial sustainability store that includes selling products by weight.
At the Sustainability Store, you can buy more than 30 items in your own container, including Kellogg’s cereals, PG Tips tea, which is popular in the UK, and Asda’s own brand of rice and pasta. In addition to food products, Unilever brand shampoos, conditioners, and hand soaps are also sold by weight.
